We’re Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give the young people of Berryfields aged 6-14 the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life. But how did we get here?
Berryfields is a Major Development Area covering some 195 hectares which commenced construction in 2010. Situated North West of Aylesbury Town Centre, it consists of shops, three schools and thousands of new homes. Berryfields is an important part of Aylesbury Vale Council’s strategy to meet the development needs of the area.
It didn’t take long after the Berryfields development began that there was a need for a local scout group and so in 2013 1st Berryfields was created. Starting off in temporary accommodation until the Community Suite was built in Berryfields Primary School.
